Quality SGS has significant Canadian experience in the implementation and operation of ISO accredited laboratory facilities. Our flagship environmental laboratory has had ISO accreditation since 1995 and several of its staff are registered ISO auditors. All of our oil and gas labs are ISO accredited and our three core labs have held this accreditation since 1995. Our flagship minerals laboratories, accredited since 1997 (Lakefield) and 2002 (Toronto), have the largest scope of testing in Canada. These programs cover QA aspects such as responsibilities, training, procurement, maintenance and QC aspects such as data reporting criteria, methods and procedures.
Health and Safety Heath and safety systems are critical business and operational considerations for SGS. We know that laboratory and plant settings require strict protocols and procedures. At all of our sites we operate a variety of operational activities such as employee health monitoring programs, designated substance monitoring programs, dust collection systems, MSDS-based worker information databases, HazOp meetings, joint Health and Safety Committee meetings and inspections to ensure health and safety.
